Validation Group Developments January through April 2026

Guideline Developments
During the Equipment Qualification Forum November 2025 feedback from the delegates was collected to improve the Good Practice Guide Qualification and Validation. The delegates saw a need for more case studies, more details regarding individual equipment and more templates. The group has started a review of the whole Good Practice Guide Qualification to update it. A second draft of an ECA booklet is available and will be finalised. A new subgroup about Artificial Intelligence in Qualification has been implemented.

Surveys
A survey about the use of Artificial Inteligence in equipment qualification has been drafted from the AI subgroup and will be sent out via the ECA newsletter in May/June. The results will be shared with the ECA community. The results from a survey about the use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) was published in two ECA News and is also available in the members' area.

Miscellaneous
The group commented the Concept Paper for the revision of Annex 15. The detailed list of all comments can be found on the ECA Foundation website.
