Validation Group Developments September through December 2025

Board Developments and Resolutions
The Board is still unchanged. There was a Board meeting on 17 November 2025 online before the Equipment Qualification Forum, where topics for 2026 were discussed. A group activity plan for 2026 was the result.

Guideline Developments
During the Equipment Qualification Forum feedback from the delegates was collected to improve the Good Practice Guide Qualification and Validation. The delegates saw a need for more case studies, more details regarding individual equipment and more templates. The group will take this into account and continue to work on ECA booklets. New topics planned are Trends in Qualification and Pros & Cons of Artificial Intelligence in Qualification.

Surveys
A survey about the use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) for the Ongoing/Continued Process Verification and other usages (e.g. QC-Trending) will be send out in the beginning of 2026. The results will be shared with the ECA community.

Miscellaneous
A new Quality Statistic Course is scheduled on-site in May 2025 in Hamburg.
Expert meetings to discuss problems have been accepted and successful. They will be continued throughout 2026.
